MUS310 Jazz Theory 1

Fundamentals of jazz harmony, chord voicing, harmonization and progressions. Scales, modes and secondary dominant scales in jazz improvisation. Rhythmic fundamentals and swing. Melodic analysis of improvised solos. Introduction to standard song forms.
