The Dorsky Museum announces a limited edition artist portfolio to benefit the museum


NEW PALTZ - The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art (Dorsky Museum) announces the first in a series of limited edition artist portfolios to benefit the museum. The Dorsky Museum Artist Portfolio 2011 includes archival inkjet prints by the following artists:

The portfolio is being published by The Dorsky Museum in a limited edition of 30 on the occasion of the museum’s 10th anniversary. The artworks, signed and numbered by the artists, are printed on 16” x 20” paper and included in a 17” x 22” portfolio, with a cover sheet and vellum separators.

The portfolio purchase price is $900 through Dec. 15 and $1,000 after Dec. 15.

About the Museum

The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, located at SUNY New Paltz, is fast becoming the premier public showplace for exhibition, education, and cultural scholarship about the Hudson Valley region’s art and artists from yesterday and today. With more than 9,000 square feet of exhibition space distributed over six galleries, the Dorsky Museum is one of the largest museums within the SUNY system.

The Dorsky was officially dedicated on Oct. 20, 2001. Since then it has presented over one hundred exhibitions, including commissions, collection-based projects, and in-depth studies of artists including Robert Morris, Alice Neel, Judy Pfaff and Carolee Schneemann.

Funding for Dorsky Museum exhibitions and programs is provided by the Friends of the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art and the State University of New York at New Paltz.
