| Luis Germán Cajiga was born in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, in 1934. In 1955 he worked at the Taller de Gráfica of the División de Educación de la Comunidad as an illustator and printer. He joined Lorenzo Homar at the Taller de Gráfica at the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña as a technician in 1960.
