STUDENTS PRESENT RESEARCH PROJECTS AT HRUMC XIX

Ten students and four faculty members from SUNY New Paltz attended the nineteenth annual Hudson River Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (HRUMC) held on Saturday, April 21 at Western New England Unversity in Springfield, MA. Four students gave an oral presentation of their current research projects:
Kyle Dailey (Mathematics) "Special Relativity From Group Theory"
Rafiul Rasel (Electrical Engineering) "Maxwell's Equations"
Joseph Ruotolo (Physics) "Designing a Record Breaking Solar Car"
Luke Stover (Physics) and Colin Morrell (Physics) "Finding the Sweet Spot: Aerodynamic Drag vs. Power"
The trip was hosted by the SIAM Student Chapter at SUNY New Paltz and sponsored by the Student Association.
