Open House and Awards to Graduates

OPEN HOUSE

Students interested in coming to New Paltz to study Mathematics or Mathematics Education are cordially invited to visit our table at an Open House. We would like to meet you and can answer your questions. We will be with other departments at the Information Fair in the Wellness and Fitness Center (Gym), 10:00 to 2:00 on Saturday, October 10 and Saturday, October 24.

AWARDS TO GRADUATES

The Mathematics department gave awards for excellence to several May graduates.

The Gerson B. Robison award is named for a past chair of the department. It is given to students who excel at higher mathematics. This year, it was awarded to Richard Catalano, Naomi Herz and Scott Sigalas.

Outstanding Student Awards are given to two students who achieve high GPAs in the major. These were given to Kristen Bies and Karissa Schaedler.
