Campus Map: College Hall

College Hall (1951)

College Hall, the first residence hall/dining hall/student union complex on campus, now serves as a living and learning community. The north and south wings continue to serve as residence halls, which today are part of the Parker Complex of residence halls. College (12) and Shango Hall (13) have occupancies for up to 100 residents. The Scholar's Mentorship Program (SMP), a networking program designed to enhance the academic careers and social experiences of general admission students of color during their undergraduate years, is located in Shango near the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Educational Center. These are the closest residence halls to downtown New Paltz. The main section of the building (12) houses the offices, practice studios and clinics for the Music and Music Therapy programs. Located at the center of the building is the Max and Nadia Sheppard Recital Hall (12), a 200-seat hall named in honor of benefactors to the performing arts programs at New Paltz. The Honors Center (12) and the Teaching and Learning Center (12) are also located here.
