Visitors of New Paltz students spent $3.8 million on lodging, meals, recreation, transportation, retail, and other goods and services. These expenditures promoted an economic and employment impact of $7.19 million in the Hudson Valley and $7.6 million in New York State. According to the Ulster County Tourism office, the average overnight visitor spends $144/ person/day, while day visitors average $67.50/day.
