In addition to being a powerful economic force in the Hudson Valley, New Paltz is proud to have a committed workforce that embraces the values of volunteerism and community service. Sixty-two percent of New Paltz faculty and staff believe that the best way to have an impact in the community is to volunteer their time. In the past 12 months, 79% of the College’s personnel have volunteered their time— on average, 100 hours—which equates to approximately 140,000 volunteer hours contributed to the Hudson Valley this past year. That means 70 people volunteering full-time year round.
