November 7: Wildlife Presentation with Rusty Johnson

Animal specialist Rusty Johnson will deliver a wildlife presentation at the Unison Theatre located at 68 Mountain Rest Road in New Paltz on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The presentation will feature hawks, falcons, vultures, condors, owls, alligators, turtles, boas, giant pythons and more.

Johnson is an Amazon explorer, wildlife lecturer, self proclaimed “falconer,” and the founder of Aylazon, an Amazon children’s charity.

He will discuss his explorations in the Amazon, what it is like to raise wild animals and endangered species, and his experiences with different cultures in the world.

Rusty has appeared on talk shows such as Late Night with Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, Live with Regis and Kathy Lee and The Today Show.

The event costs $7 for members of ecologychannel.com and $10 for non-members. At the event, Johnson will be selling hand-woven bracelets made by Amazonian natives and will donate the money raised to his charity.
