ELFE in Paris

ELFE occupies a 18th century mansion in the center of Paris, 15 minutes from the Opera and the Arc de Triomphe, and close to the Place de Clichy metro station. At the center of the Villa Ballu, it benefits from a calm that is exceptional in the city.

ELFE’s quality language programs include various options enabling students to become better acquainted with Paris and French culture. In addition to excursions and classes in French civilization, cuisine and wine appreciation, ELFE makes it possible to for its students to participate in Parisian life. An evening outing is organized every week in a typical French restaurant and in fashionable private discotheques.

Programs of Study

Program Duration

• 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks or more in multiples of two weeks.

Levels

• Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate 1 & 2, Advanced. Students are tested for placement on the first day of class.

General Mini-Group French
(maximum of 6 students per class)

• 15 hours per week: twenty 45 minute classes per week (mornings)
• 23 hours: thirty 45 minute classes per week (morning & afternoon)

Specialist French
(intermediate and advanced students only)

• French for Teachers: for students who teach French as a foreign language to adults. Last two weeks of July and August only.

Combined Classes

• 15 hours of mini-group plus 2 hours of civilization & 2 hours of excursion
• 15 hours of mini-groups plus 5 hours of private tutoring.
• 15 hours of mini-group plus 10 hours of private tutoring

College Credit

• not yet available

Document Awarded

• A certificate showing the length of the course, attendance, participation, and the level achieved will be given.

Class Size

• maximum of 6

Accommodations and Travel

• Choose between carefully selected host families, furnished apartments, or 2, 3, or 4 star hotels

Start Dates

• Beginners first Monday of each month. All others any Monday year-round.
