Description: To inform the community on historical roots and background of African heritage and presence it has in Latinx community. To uplift and unite students of different backgrounds to embrace their roots, as well have pride in their history. Finally for students to grow within the organization and be an outlet for educating others outside of Afro-Latina Leaders of the Future.

Description: The Caribbean Student Organization at the State University of New York at New Paltz has a colorful history. CSO serves as a "home away from home" for many Caribbean students at New Paltz. The Club meetings provide a relaxed atmosphere for students to meet and network. Students of all cultures were encouraged to share their Caribbean heritage while keeping the traditions of their Caribbean ancestors. The club’s intended purpose was formed fostering a cultural bridge between the Caribbean, the United States and SUNY New Paltz campus. Also, our purpose is to shed light on the West Indian culture.

Description:The purpose of Caribbash is to inform and educate the SUNY New Paltz's campus on the West Indian culture. We have a week full of events that surrounds the culture with our main one being our annual event which serves as a melting pot of all nationalities. Over the past year Caribbash have been making efforts to move away from the typical fashion that every week presents by actually turning it into a carnival type of event. This carnival will serve the organization’s intended purpose of bring diversity to the campus and unifying all cultures on the SUNY New Paltz campus.

Description: Our mission with Impacto Sensual dance team is to spread diversity throughout the SUNY New Paltz campus and other campuses. We strive every day to bring Afro-Latino culture to our community through our passion for dancing. We continue to promote awareness of different ethnicities while promoting the love we have for our Afro-Latino roots.

Description: Latino Week is an organization that aims to raise awareness of the Latino Culture. We strive to look beyond differences that might separate people and encourage others to do so as well. We highly encourage and welcome students from all types of diverse backgrounds, as well as enlighten and empower students in hope that with what they learn, they too will give back to their community.

Description: LASU is a group of students trying to learn and create social political and cultural experiences for a more intersectional community. We work close with the Latin American and Caribbean Studies department to branch out in making opportunities to spread knowledge about Latinidad and Unity. We want to be the liaison between Latinos and the greater SUNY campus. We want to expand awareness of multiculturalism through fun programs that are also full of knowledge. We believe strongly that you learn a lot of things outside of the classroom and from peer to peer interaction. We strive to bring awareness to the LATINX culture as a whole. We do this through social and educational programs

Melodia and Movement provides a place for individuals who embrace their Afro-Latinx identity to come and express themselves through singing and dancing in an all inclusive environment that is not present in many places on the New Paltz campus.For this reason, Melodia & Movement is a family that gives individuals the opportunity to do this.
