Teaching interests range from early-level French courses to translation, stylistics, composition, European integration, French and francophone cultures, literatures, cinema, music, and media.
Poet and translator. Recent publications include short collections of poems Tout orœilles, and Dissipation; an English translation with Kathleen R. Hart of George Sand’s 1839 novel in dramatic form Gabriel; and translations with Michèle Duclos of poetry by Paige Ackerson-Kiely. Earlier publications include an article on the French underground press in Contemporary French & Francophone Studies; poetry in reviews and anthologies; translation with Robert DeMaria, Jr. of poetry by Rose-Céleste Bache; and a collection of poems entitled Sans aveu, under the pen name Paul Fenoult.

. 2012. Selected among the twenty poets featured in 20 poètes, French publisher Le chasseur abstrait’s biennal anthology of contemporary poetry.
. 2011. Nominated by the MLA for the 2011 PEN Translation Prize, and for the 2011 PROSE Award for Gabriel: An English Translation.
. 2006. Co-winner of the poetry contest “Les dix mots de la francophonie,” organized by 7 à dire, Poésie sur tout, and Sac à mots éditions, France.
