Classroom Instructions for Use
Projector and Volume controls are located on the wall near the instructor’s station.
To turn on the projector: Press the Display ON button. You should hear the fan start. The projector takes a few minutes to reach maximum brightness. The ON or OFF button will blink as the projector is powering up or down.
While the projector is warming up, turn on the power to the computer or VCR.
If you are using the computer, remember: At the Novell sign-in, follow Academic Computing Department’s instructions to log on. Be sure to log out when you are finished.
Select the image you want for projection. The button for the selected source will illuminate.

Volume is controlled by the Volume UP and DOWN Buttons on the control panel. Please ignore the volume knob. It is not active.
If the Computer image is not projecting, make sure the document camera is turned off. The power indicator on the document camera should be RED. If there is still no computer image, push button #1 on the Extron switcher.
To project the Document Camera image, follow the procedure for projecting the computer, then turn on the document camera. If the document camera image is not automatically projected, go to the Extron switcher box, mounted either above or below the surface of the instructor desk, and push button #2.
Look for the screen control on the wall. It has three positions: Up, Stop, and Down. After lowering the screen, you may also want to dim the lights in the room. You are now ready to start class.
To turn the equipment off: Press and hold the Display OFF button for about three seconds until the lamp in the projector turns off. The lamp will go off but the fan will continue to run. It will turn itself off when the lamp has cooled. Never touch the ceiling mounted LCD projector. It is alarmed!
Turn off the computer, or the VCR.
