To lower the screen, hold down the screen control switch, located on the wall near the instructor's station.
To turn on the projector, press the RED Power button on the remote control for two seconds. The projector will take a few minutes to reach maximum brightness.
To turn on the computer, press the power button on the computer tower. Follow the Academic Computing Department's instructors to log in.
To display the computer from the projector: On the Extron box, located under the front edge of the desk, press button 1 for computer.
To display a laptop: Connect your laptop to the VGA cable on the instructor's station. Your laptop may require a converter. If you require audio, connect the 1/8" mini cable to the laptop out port. Set the laptop display resolution to 1024 x 768. On the Extron box, located under the front edge of the desk, press button 2 for laptop. Call IMS if you need assistance.
Volume is controlled via the projector remote. The projector must be on in order for sound to be heard.
DVDs may be played through the computer, using the Power DVD program.
The DVD/VHS combo unit may be used to play DVDs or VHS videotapes. On the top right of the projector's remote control, press the Video button.
USB drives may be connected to the computer via ports on the left side of the monitor or the top edge of the keyboard.
