Classrooms with Installed Technology: OM 215

The Projector, Screen and Volume controls are located on an Extron control box located on the instructor's station.

To turn on the projector: Press the Display ON button, located on the control box on the instructor's station. The projector takes a few minutes to warm up and reach maximum brightness. The On or Off button will blink as the projector is powering up or down.

While the projector is warming up, turn on the power to the computer, document camera, laptop, DVD, VCR, or auxiliary piece of video equipment.

If you are using the computer, remember: At the Novell sign-in, follow Academic Computing Department's instructions to log on. Be sure to log out when you are finished.

Select the image you want for projection. The button for the selected source will illuminate.

  • PC for computer projection
  • DOC CAM for document camera projection
  • LAPTOP for laptop projection with audio
  • DVD for DVD projection
  • VCR for VHS projection
  • AUX VIDEO for projecting a camcorder, DVCAM deck or other piece of video equipment

Screen control is located on the Extron Control box, or on the wall. Volume is controlled by the Volume Knob.

To turn the equipment off: Press the Display OFF button to turn off the projector. Turn off the computer, document camera, laptop, DVD, VCR, or auxiliary equipment.

IPods may be played through the room's sound system by connecting the laptop audio plug (1/8" stereo mini) to your IPod. The power for the sound system is always on.

The microphone is always on. Move the floor stand to an area of the room most convenient to you.
