Turning on the projector:

Point the remote control toward the projector and press the ON power button.  Hold the button down for approximately one or two seconds, then release.  You should hear the fan start.  The projector takes a few minutes to reach maximum brightness.

Note:   If you turn on the projector and then inadvertently turn off the projector, it will not turn back on until the bulb is completely cooled.  Be patient.

While the projector is warming up, turn on the power to the computer or VCR.

If you are using the computer, remember:  At the Novell sign-in, follow Academic Computing Department’s instructions and enter your New Paltz computer User ID and password.  Be sure to log out when you are finished.

Select your input for the projection:
Press Input 1 for computer projection

Press Input 3 for VCR projection

The screen control is located in the corner near the instructors station to the right on the blackboard.  It has three positions: Up, Stop and Down.  After you lower the screen, you will be ready to start class.

To turn the equipment off:

Point the remote control at the LCD projector.  Press the STANDBY power button for about one or two seconds.  Turn the lights back on.  The bulb will go off but the fan will continue to run.  It will turn itself off when the bulb has cooled.
