To Turn on the projector:
Point the remote control toward the projector and press the Power button. Hold the button down for approximately two seconds, then release. You should hear the fan start. The projector takes a few minutes to reach maximum brightness.

To Lower the Electric Screen: Push down on the screen control switch, located on the wall to the left of the screen.

To Turn On The Computer: Press the power button on the computer tower. When the computer is powered on, the power symbol will glow green. Follow the Academic Computing Department's instructions and enter your New Paltz Computer User ID and Password. Be sure to log out or shut down when done.

To Display the Computer from the Projector: On the projector remote, press the COMPUTER button.

To Display a Laptop: Connect a 15-pin VGA cable from the Laptop video out to the Extron box. Your laptop may also require a converter.. On the projector remote, press the COMPUTER button.

DVDs may be played through the computer, using the Power DVD program.

To Display the VHS Video Player from the Projector: Turn on the power to the VHS player, insert tape and press play. On the Projector's remote control, press the VIDEO button.

Volume control: Use the projector's remote to raise and lower the volume.

USB Drives may be connected to the computer via ports on the left side of the computer monitor or the top edge of the keyboard.

To turn the equipment off:
Point the remote control at the LCD projector. Press the Power button twice.

Turn off the computer or the VCR.

Never touch the ceiling mounted LCD projector. It is alarmed!
