To turn on the LCD projector, point the remote control toward the projector and press the ON button. Hold the button down for approximately three seconds, then release. You should hear the fan start. The projector takes a few minutes to reach maximum brightness.

(Note: In CSB 29, there is a power switch on the wall to the right of the white board. If the projector does not turn on, try flipping the switch!)

While the projector is warming up, turn on the power to the computer.
At the Novell login, follow Academic Computing Department’s instructions and enter your New Paltz Computer User ID and password. Be sure to log out when you are finished.

Use the screen control on the wall to lower the screen.

To turn the LCD projector off, point the remote control at the projector. Press the STANDBY button twice. The bulb will go off but the fan will continue to run. It will turn itself off when the bulb has cooled.

Sign off and power down the computer.

Never touch the ceiling mounted LCD projector.  It is alarmed!  Please call Instructional Media Services for training or assistance at x3630 days or x3639 evenings.
