To turn on the LCD projector, point the remote control toward the projector and press the pink power button.  Hold the button down for approximately one or two seconds, then release.  You should hear the fan start.  The projector takes a few minutes to reach maximum brightness.

While the projector is warming up, turn on the power to the computer or VCR. 

If you are using the computer, remember: At the Novell login, follow Academic Computing Department’s instructions and enter your New Paltz Computer User ID and password.  Be sure to log out when you are finished.

Select your input for projection:
Press COMP for computer projection
         Press VIDEO for VCR projection

The screen control is located to the left of the black board near the instructor’s station.  It has three positions:  Up, Stop and Down.  Lower the screen. 

To turn off the projector, point the remote control at the LCD projector.  Press the pink power button once, then again to confirm shutdown. 
Turn off the computer or VCR. 

Never touch the ceiling mounted LCD projector.  It is alarmed and LOUD!!  For training or assistance, please call Instructional Media Services at x3630 or x3633.  In the evening, call x3639 or x1314.
