CH-114 Smart Classroom
Locate the Crestron Control Box, on top of the instructor's station.
Press Screen Down to lower the screen.
Press Display ON to turn on the ceiling-mounted projector.
To project an image from the computer: Turn on the power to the computer and log in, using instructions from the Academic Computing Department. Press PC on the Crestron Control Box.
To project an image from your laptop: Connect the VGA cable to your laptop. You may need a converter. If you require audio, connect the 1/8" mini cable to your laptop's audio out. Press the Laptop button on the Crestron Control Box. For assistance, call IMS at x3630.
To project the document camera: Turn on the power to the document camera, press Doc Cam on the Crestron Control Box.
To project an image from the DVD/VHS player: Turn on the power to the DVD/VHS player. On the Crestron box, press AUX. For closed captioning, press the CC ON/OFF button. Closed captioning only works for AUX.
DVDs may also be played through the computer, using the Power DVD program.
Volume is controled by a knob on the Crestron box.
To use the CD player, press CD Player on the Crestron box.
The Blank button will project a black screen until the button is pressed a second time.
When a computer image does not project correctly, press the Auto Image button.
The Freeze button will capture what is being projected and continue to project it until the button is pressed a second time.
At the end of class, press the Display Off button to turn of the projector. Shut down the computer, document camera, CD player, DVD/VHS player.
