To Lower or Raise the Electric Screen:
Press the [SCN down] or [SCN up] button located on the black control box on top of the desk.
To Turn On the Projector:
Press the [PJ ON] button on the control box. After twenty seconds, you will see light emanating from the lens. The image will grow brighter as the projector warms up.
To Turn On the Computer:
Press the Power button on the computer tower. When the computer is powered on, the power symbol will glow green. At the Novell sign in, follow the Academic Computing Department’s instructions. Enter your New Paltz Computer User ID and password. Be sure to log out when you are finished.
To Display the Computer from Projector:
Press the [PC] button on the control box.
To Display the Document Camera:
Press the [DOC CAM] button on the control box. Press the Power button on the Document Camera. Press the Live/Win button until document camera’s image is displayed.
To Display a Laptop:
Connect the laptop to the provided VGA and sound cable. Press the [LAPTOP] button on the control box. Be sure the secondary VGA output is active on the laptop.
To Display Auxiliary Video {VHS}: Press the [AUX] button on the control box. Use the buttons on the face of the VHS player to control its operation
If you wish to see the auxiliary video on the computer monitor: On the monitor, Press the source button until the number 4 (Composite video input) on the monitor is illuminated. When finished, return to the VGA input by pressing the source button until the number 1 is illuminated.
For an IPod or MP3 player:
Connect the MP3 player to the laptop sound cable. Press the [LAPTOP] button on the control box. Turn the volume all the way up on the MP3 player.
Volume Control: The master volume is adjusted via the [VOL up] and [VOL down] buttons on the Crestron control box. The volume to the computer can also be adjusted using the normal Windows XP volume controls at the bottom right of the screen.
DVDs may be played through the computer, using the Power DVD program.
USB Drives may be connected to the front of the computer or via the ports on right side of LCD monitor.
