Summer 2018 Young Writers Programs
Tuition Assistance Program
HVWP is pleased to offer partial tuition assistance, thanks to the generosity of our donors and partner organizations. All requests for tuition assistance are based on financial need and must be made in writing.
To apply for tuition assistance, please complete:
- Complete the online program registration form (available Jan. 15, 2018).
- Submit a copy of the first-page of your 2016 federal income tax return to HVWP. Please note that tax returns will be used to assess financial need.
- Send a brief letter that explains why a scholarship would be of benefit.

Tuition assistance materials must be postmarked within 21 days of completing online program registration. If all required information is not received within 21 days, the student's spot in the program will be released and re-registration will need to be necessary. HVWP cannot guarantee that provided space will be available.
All materials will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority given to those received prior to May 1, 2018. Tuition balances must be paid within 1 week of award notification to secure the student's spot in the program.
