HVWP PROFESSIONAL WRITING SEMINAR

On May 1st-3rd, the Hudson Valley Writing Project will sponsor its third Professional Writing Seminar for educators at the Soyuzivka Retreat Center in Kerhonkson, NY.  Seminar participants will enjoy uninterrupted blocks of writing time, structured peer response, and consultation with Robert Yagelski, Associate Professor of English Education at SUNY-Albany and Director of the Capital District Writing Project. 

 

The working retreat is designed for educators who have a formed idea/topic for writing about their work, materials to draw on when writing (e.g., notes, student work), and, ideally, a preliminary working draft. Registration includes writing consultation, lodging for two nights (double occupancy) and all meals. Single rooms are available for an additional charge. Participants may document 15 inservice hours on MyLearningPlan.com through the Mid-Hudson Teacher Center. 

RETREAT COSTS:  
Educators: $425 / National Writing Project Teacher Consultants: $225. 
There will be an additional charge of $60 for a single room.
