Duties: The School of Business at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for an Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2018.
The School is AACSB accredited and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students. We currently offer undergraduate degrees in six business majors, a general MBA and an MBA in Public Accountancy. The School of Business plans to offer a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics program with a target start date of Spring 2018. The typical teaching load for pre-tenure faculty is three courses per semester. Faculty also participate in curriculum development and assessment, and engage in other service duties for the school and the college both internally and externally. An active research program yielding ongoing publication in peer-reviewed journals is required for tenure.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. degree with emphasis in business analytics or a related field (e.g. Management Science, Operations Research, Statistics). ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to teach a wide range of courses including business analytics, data visualization and statistics
• Demonstrated record or potential for peer-reviewed publications in the field
• Proficiency with packages and software used in Business Analytics field (such as R, SAS, SQL, Python, Hadoop)
• Demonstrated ability and interest in interacting with the business community
