Duties: The School of Business at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for tenure track Assistant Professor of Accounting position. The School is AACSB accredited and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students. Programs offered include a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA in Public Accountancy, along with five other undergraduate business majors and a general MBA.
The ideal candidate would be able to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting. The typical teaching load of pre-tenure faculty is three courses per semester. Faculty also participate in assessment and curriculum development, and engage in other service duties for the school and the college. An active research program yielding ongoing publication in peer-reviewed journals is required for tenure.
The position begins Fall 2018, with a late August start date.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in accounting is preferred but ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.
