Duties: The Department of Political Science and International Relations at the State University of New York at New Paltz seeks a tenure-track assistant professor in American Politics, Public Policy, and Public Administration to begin fall 2015. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative research skills and experience or demonstrable interest in supervising interns and conducting research in the region. The successful candidate will teach courses focusing on American politics and public policy, including federalism, for a general education curriculum preparing students for civic engagement. The standard teaching load is 3/3.
Qualifications: Ph.D.in Political Science is preferred; exceptional ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.
