Duties: The School of Business at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for Accounting faculty positions. The three positions are open rank depending on qualifications.
The ideal candidates would be able to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, with the ability to teach taxation a plus.
Faculty with academic rank also participates in assessment and curriculum development, and engages in other service duties for the school and the college. An active research program yielding ongoing publication in peer-reviewed journals is required for tenure.
Lecturers teach 30 credit hours of coursework or its equivalent during the academic year and are expected to continue professional development as it relates to their teaching assignment.
One of the positions is available starting January 2015, with the others starting in August 2015.
Qualifications: For tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor positions:
A Ph.D. in accounting is required; ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered. A CPA, CMA or other professional certification is desirable.
For non-tenure track Lecturer positions: A Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation is required and professional certification is desirable.
