Duties: The Department of Political Science and International Relations at the State University of New York at New Paltz seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor trained in International Relations to begin in Fall 2014. Duties of the successful candidate will include teaching undergraduate courses in areas including American and/or Comparative Foreign Policy, the Senior Seminar in International Relations, and introduction to International Politics. The preferred subfield would be Security Studies, with an ability to teach IR Theory. Additional preferred areas of expertise include the Middle East, Africa or Latin America. The teaching course load will be 3/3.
Qualifications: Ph.D.in International Relations or Political Science with an IR concentration is preferred; exceptional ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered. Candidates who bring diverse cultural experience and who are especially qualified to mentor and advise all members of our diverse student population are especially encouraged to apply.
