Duties: The Department of Psychology at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for two multi-year, full-time, lecturer positions beginning in Fall 2013.
Duties: The successful applicant will be expected to teach 30 credit hours of coursework, or the equivalent, during the academic year. Likely coursework includes introductory psychology, statistics and/or research methods, along with several content courses form our curriculum (such as physiological psychology, memory and thinking, motivation, infancy and childhood). Specific course assignments will be negotiated subsequent to hiring.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in any relevant area of psychology is preferred; exceptional ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered. Demonstrated successes or potential in the domain of college teaching and the ability to teach a broad array of courses are essential for this position. Candidates who bring diverse cultural experience and who are especially qualified to mentor and advise all members of our diverse student population are especially encouraged to apply.
