Duties: The Project Manager/Architectural Designer will perform project administration and field coordination of design and construction for various campus building projects as well as architectural design and site development services, under the general supervision of the Director of facilities design and construction.
The position shall be assigned specific design and construction projects and/or components of projects for which it will be responsible for management through construction. The position will also effectively communicate the construction schedule and its associated logistics/disruptions with the client and campus community to facilitate the necessary interactions and needs of private contractors and vendors as well as the campus community.
The position shall also participate as project design team member on projects under the guidance of the campus architect and/or assistant campus architect, performing architectural/engineering CAD drafting, design development and field investigations on projects.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field; proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and construction project scheduling/tracking software; AutoCAD proficiency a plus: working knowledge of NYS Building Code and strong written and verbal communications skills required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction-related practice either in office or in field. Applications will be accepted only from US citizens or permanent residents.
