Duties: The Department of History at SUNY New Paltz seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor working in the history of the M8iddle East before 1918. This position carries a 3-3 teaching load. The successful applicant should be prepared to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in his or her areas of expertise, along with one section of a four-credit survey course of the history of the Middle East to and from 1798, as part of the campus General Education curriculum, each term. Graduate students are primarily secondary education/social studies candidates in an M.S. or M.A.T. program.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in hand preferred and teaching experience highly desired.
