Duties: The Journalism and Media programs of the State University of New York at New Paltz seek a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach multiplatform journalism, including courses in digital storytelling and news-writing for the Internet. The candidate will need to establish a publications record. Start date for the position is August, 2010. The college was chosen as the “Hottest Small State School” in the nation by the 2008 Kaplan/Newsweek “How to Get into College” Guide.
Qualifications: Knowledge of print and online journalism as well as production of audio and video news required. Master’s degree required; Ph.D. desirable. Relevant professional experience needed.
