LOCAL STUDENT TO BE AWARDED WITH SCHOLARSHIP AT STAR-STUDDED
2012 MATRIX AWARDS
Annual Event Honors "Women Who Change the World"
The New York Women in Communications Foundation, in conjunction with New York Women in Communications Inc., announces its 2012 scholarship recipients, who will be awarded at the annual Matrix Awards—the industry event of the year, to be held on April 23, 2012at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York City. This year, Miriam Ward, of Rye, New York who is a freshman at the State University of New York at New Paltz was one of the select few to receive this prestigious scholarship. Ms. Ward has been awarded the Meredith Corporation Scholarship which includes an internship at the company headquarters in New York City.
Ms. Ward will have the rare opportunity to be recognized with a select group of her peers during the event, which will feature Matrix Award winners and presenters including Glenn Close, Tyra Banks, Meredith Vieira, Rocco DiSpirito, Barbara Walters and Lesley Stahl, among others.
