Cisco Clean Access Agent

ID #1060

When logging in to Clean Access Agent I get an error message about an "invalid clean access server".

This problem can be caused by several things. The most common problem is when you are connected to the network using an Ethernet cable and you are in an area with wireless connectivity and have your wireless enabled. Either disable your wireless or unplug the Ethernet cable. You may have to restart your computer, and then try connecting again.

Another cause of the issue is if you logged in to the network on one part of the campus, then moved your laptop to another part of the campus without first logging out. Try to forcibly logout of the network, by opening your web browser and going to http://logout.newpaltz.edu . Then restart your computer, and try to login to Clean Access again.

If that does not work, make sure you do not have your web browser's home page set to the Clean Access login or download pages. You should set your browser's home page to anything other than those sites (google.com or newpaltz.edu for example).

You can also find solutions on the CCA troubleshooting page .
