Water Saving Measures

In keeping with the college's commitment to incorporate more sustainableSustainability is the use of ecosystems and their resources in a manner that satisfies current needs without compromising the needs or options of future generations. and environmentally friendly products into campus building renovations, recently, the men's restroom in Hasbrouck Dining Hall was fitted with four non-flushing urinals designed to conserve water. The Waterless, No-Flush urinals will save up to 45,000 gallons of water a year. The campus will be looking at the performance of the urinals during the spring 2008 semester to determine if the same products will be used in future renovation projects that require new bathrooms, such as the Old Main Building renovation and the Student Union Building addition.
