Discontinuation of the Master of Arts Art Studio (MAAS) Program
The college is in the process of deactivating its Master of Arts Art Studio (MAAS) summer intensive program. Consequently, effective immediately, we are not accepting students to this program. Summer 2010 applicants (April 15, 2010 is the deadline to receive applications) to the MAAS program must be offered the option to apply to the MSEd Visual Arts summer intensive program. In the rare case that an applicant does not have initial certification in art education, the college will grant the degree without a recommendation for certification. Conversely, students who hold initial certification in art education will be recommended for professional certification. Please keep in mind that the central difference between these programs is a focus on studio work in the MAAS program and the requirement of an action research and a thesis in the MSEd visual arts program.
