Hemingway's After the Storm is the center of Mr. Boyle's paper, I Could See Everything Sharp and Clear': Hemingway, Bra Saunders, and the Valbanera. Mr. Boyle's paper will be presented at the 11th International Hemingway Society Conference in Key West, Florida June 2004. The paper deals with the sinking of the Spanish Liner, the Valbanera in the Half Moon Shoals and the professional fishing guide Eddie "Bra" Saunders' influence on Hemingway's retelling of the story.
