Investigating a freer approach to the mezzotint process, Mr. Willis has propsed to investigate the use of the mezzotint as a drawing tool. He wishes to use the black quality of the background not as prepartion alone. Instead, Mr. Willis introduced mezzotint marks and lines by using the tool in an un-traditional fashion.
