Interested in tension between the physicality and immateriality of human experiences, Ms Russ explored light in combination with the reflective qualities of metal and the transparency of paper to create a large-scale installation. The intention of the piece was to create an ethereal atmospheric space through the use and play of shadows with familiar objects evoking a sense of fleeting memory and time.
