CMD530 Practicum in Speech-Language Pathology in the Schools

Student teaching is the culminating experience in the Speech and Language Disabilities Program (090I) that strives to foster caring, critical, and reflective professionals responsive to the needs of a diverse society. Students will receive guided clinical practice in therapeutic procedures for the prevention, assessment, and management of a variety of communication disorders in an educational setting sufficient to meet requirements for the New York State Initial Certificate as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities, as well as some of the clock hour requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence of the American Speech Hearing and Language Association.

  • 8 (may be repeated for credit)
