Minutes of
February 11, 2003
Present: Glenn Geher (Chair), David Blankenship, Lisa Chase, Leslie Couse, Wilma Feliciano, Debra Miller, Ann Minnick (Guest), Robin Smith.
The meeting began, in HUM 120, at 11:35.
The Minutes of November 12, 2002 and December 3, 2002 were approved as written. The Minutes of February 4, 2003 were approved with corrections.
It was moved and seconded that the S/U grading option be permitted for students on academic probation. The motion was passed unanimously.
It was moved and seconded that the Basic Algebra graduation requirement be eliminated for all students beginning with those who graduate in May 2003. The motion was passed unanimously.
The academic calendar for 2004-05 will be the subject of our next two meetings, on February 18 and 25, and if necessary there will be a third meeting on the calendar on March 4. The aim is for the calendar to be presented to the Academic Senate on March 7 and to the Faculty on March 14. Copies of A and B versions of Fall 2004 were distributed at the meeting. Copies of A and B versions of Spring 2005 will be placed on the committee web site and Blackboard.
The committee will meet back in its regular meeting room, CSB 54, next time.
