Multifaceted Faculty

The geology faculty at New Paltz have many unexpected talents beyond their teaching and research skills, one being musical skills. Dr. Alex Bartholomew is well known for his talent with bagpipes, and has played in numerous competitions. Dr. John Rayburn is also a talented musician, playing the Appalachian Dulcimer and the Bodhran (Irish Drum).
Recently the talented duo played for students at the New Paltz Child Care Center, where John's wife Karen Rayburn works. Karen kindly served as photographer to capture them in action.
