Gearing Up for Spring 2008
Donald Hodder showing off a new 'Smart' interactive whiteboard
Instructional Support Technician Donald Hodder shows off the new 'Smart' interactive whiteboards being installed in two Geology labs. This state of the art instructional technology allows projection of a computer screen onto the board, and allows the instructor to control the computer interface with a finger or 'draw' with colored electronic 'pens'. The boards will have full internet access, and can also be used with traditional dry mark pens and overhead projectors.
But wait - there's more! Thanks to Provost David Lavallee and Dean Daniel Jelski, all the Geology labs have been outfitted with the brand new padded lab chairs pictured here. New Paltz alumni may fondly (or not so fondly!) remember the original wooden chairs that dated to the outfitting of the building in the 1960's. We think our students will appreciate the new ones.
