About Us

* SUNY New Paltz Foundation, Inc. Board Members

Founded in 1976, the Foundation works to enrich the quality of academic life at New Paltz by raising private contributions. Gifts to the SUNY New Paltz Foundation enhance the teaching, learning, and discovery that takes place on campus, and allows New Paltz to enrich the cultural, economic and social fabric of the Mid-Hudson region.

New Paltz is growing measurably stronger and better, and many of the exciting changes taking place on campus are made possible by the contributions of friends, alumni and donors. Over the last year the Foundation's work has been energized by our focus on four key fundraising priorities:

  • Ensuring student quality and success through recruitment scholarships;
  • Supporting faculty excellence with investments in academic research;
  • Increasing New Paltz's visibility in the region through the new Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art; and
  • Providing state of the art facilities in the van den Berg Learning Center for our School of Business and nursing program.

We are making significant progress towards meeting each of these ambitious - and transformational - goals.

With your support, the ingredients for an even more distinguished New Paltz are all in place - great students with a passion for learning, gifted faculty who inspire excellence, outstanding facilities to house and promote intellectual work, and fiercely-held values that characterize American higher education at its best.
