What makes the New Paltz campus unique?

  

I have found New Paltz to be very unique in the fact that it is such an open and friendly environment to be a part of. Since the day I arrived on campus, I have felt welcomed and very much at home. I do believe that a majority of the people who make up our campus community are very committed to making this an amazing place for those who chose to be a part of New Paltz.

What was the best event you've attended on campus?

  

The best event I have attended at New Paltz would have to be a tie between the graduation ceremonies and the annual alumni swim meets.  Both events are truly special ones that focus on the success of students and former student-athletes.  It is an incredible feeling to watch as the students cross that stage to receive their diploma, and it is an equally incredible feeling to watch my former swimmers cross the pool deck and be recognized for their efforts within the swim program.

Influences: Major influences in my life have been my college swimming coach, as well as Coach Art Stockin, who was the swim coach at New Paltz for 28 years prior to my arrival.

Hobbies: My favorite hobby is fishing with my father, particularly fly fishing on the Esopus River.

Years at SUNY New Paltz: I am in my 14th year at New Paltz.
