How is New Paltz preparing you for your career?

I have had many great experiences at New Paltz. As a returning student, the faculty realize that I am serious about this journey and this ignites my learning. I feel there is a very personal connection between my professors and myself. New Paltz has prepared me well as a teacher because in the day-to-day of teaching, I find that I have a great sense of what needs to be done and how to handle it all. The curriculum in the School of Education truly helps to create a well-rounded student by providing instruction in time management; academics; behavior management; and dealing with the staff, parents and children. A degree from New Paltz is important to me because the school has a great reputation for educating good, solid teachers.

Awards:
I've remained on the dean's list since arriving at New Paltz as a transfer student from Dutchess Community College. I received an academic scholarship during my undergraduate study at New Paltz.
