Faces of New Paltz
What is the most valuable lesson you learned at New Paltz?
![]()
The most valuable lesson I learned was that, as a teacher, I have the power to work with others to transform not only our schools, but also our world. My choices and actions are deeply significant for both my students and the future of our society. I am entrusted with the development of young children within my school community and, as time passes, those children grow and their communities expand. The effects of my teaching extend far beyond my imagination.
Extras:
Mentors at New Paltz: Professor Nancy Schniedewind and Terry Murray have been wonderful mentors, modeling the best of what teachers can offer their students.
Inspiration: Watching young children overcome seemingly impossible obstacles inspires awe within me and confirms the great potential of humanity.
Hobbies: I love to spend as much time as possible with my family, exploring nature and playing games together.
