Why do you think SUNY New Paltz received the “hottest small state school in America” designation?
"We're hot because we have something for everyone. There are so many different types of people here, but everyone is very accepting of one another and we all mesh very well to form the community, which is a huge part of life at New Paltz. As a student ambassador I get a chance to get to know the next generation of possible New Paltz students and help them see how great New Paltz really is."
Awards/Achievements: "I am part of the New Paltz Cheerleading team and last semester we went to a National Cheerleading competition in Hershey, PA. We practiced for months and our dedication paid off because we came out on top and won first place in our division."
Mentor at New Paltz: "My mentor is one of my teammates, Jenna Marino, who has been like a sister to me ever since I came to New Paltz. She's always there to give advice, listen, and just be a friend."
Inspiration: "My family is definitely my inspiration. My parents and two older sisters are college graduates and they inspire me to do the same. I do my best to make them proud."
