Generally, this program has courses in four categories. These categories include:
- Biological foundations (including courses from the Biology Department that focus on evolutionary principles)
- Non-Biological foundations (including courses outside the Biology Department that focus on evolutionary principles (e.g., Evolutionary Psychology))
- Content areas - that include courses from varied disciplines which touch on some aspects of evolution.
- The Evolutionary Studies Seminar - a Writing Intensive 3-credit course that includes attending lectures on varied topics in evolution - and thinking and writing!
