"Dork Knight" Workshop 5-7pm, Parker Theatre Acting Studio "Dork Knight" One-Man-Show featuring actor Jason O'Connell 2pm & 8pm, Parker Theatre Dork Knight is a 2 hour one-man-show written and performed by professional working actor, Jason O’Connell. This performance focuses on O’Connell’s long-lived, passionate, and somewhat comical obsession with the Batman franchise. In this personal an intimate piece, O’Connell discusses and illustrates each Batman movie from the Tim Burton film with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson, to the latest Dark Knight blockbuster. He parallels important events, jobs, and relationships throughout his life to each Batman film. Very impressively, he performs impeccable impersonations of every Batman and villain throughout the franchise history. Having been a professional stand-up comedian, O’Connell writes hilarious and witty monologues that leave the audience roaring. At the same time, he speaks truthfully and poetically about painful memories and how his love of Batman has helped him through. Jason O’Connell makes a true connection with his audience and encourages them to shed light on their own personal and, perhaps embarrassing or “dorky”, obsessions.
